Data Privacy and Security
1. The Customer will provide Insignia access to Personal Data for the exclusive purpose of allowing Insignia to import the data into Insignia Library System.
2. Data elements of Personal Data which may be collected by Insignia, including Personally Identifiable Information (PII), are: Last Name; First Name; Middle Name, Student/Patron ID; Grade; Gender; Homeroom; Phone Number, Email; Street Address; City; State; Zip Code, Date of Birth, Active Directory User ID, Class Name; Teacher Name; Course Number; Course; Period.
3. As the recipient of Personal Data, Insignia shall:
3.1. Treat such information with the same degree of care to avoid disclosure to third parties as it normally uses to protect its own confidential or proprietary information;
3.2. Use the Data only for the purposes set forth above, unless otherwise agreed to in writing by the Customer.
3.3. Disclose Data only to those of Insignia’s employees, directors, representatives, advisors and agents who need access to such Data and to no one else.
4. Insignia does not share Data in any format with third parties unless required as requested by the Customer.
5. Data shall remain the sole and exclusive property of the Customer.
After an agreement with the customer is terminated, all of Insignia’s copies of customer data are deleted 90 days after termination. Customers may request a copy of the data within 60 days of contract termination date.
If a customer is aware of any inaccuracies in their data, they may contact Insignia’s Technical Support Team by phone, email, or submitted case to create a ticket. The customer must identify the reason that they believe there is an inaccuracy. Insignia will investigate any possible cause(s) and provide a solution where possible
Data collected by Insignia is maintained on secure servers. American customers are hosted on a cloud solution such as Microsoft Azure servers within the United States. Canadian customer data is hosted within Canada.
This Privacy Policy is effective as of Jan 01 2018 and will remain in effect except with respect to any changes in its provisions in the future.
